Dr. Raphael, a native of Syracuse, NY, is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and fellowship-trained Dermatologic Surgeon. He specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery for skin cancers and facial reconstruction as well as cosmetic dermatology including injectables, lasers and other non invasive cosmetic procedures. Dr. Raphael completed his medical training at The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. After his internal medicine internship, Dr. Raphael completed his residency in Dermatology at Emory University. As a resident, Dr. Raphael was elected to the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery Board of Directors, the largest specialty organization representing surgical and cosmetic dermatologists.
Dr. Raphael has advanced fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery as well as cosmetic dermatology and laser procedures. He has completed the prestigious ACGME accredited Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship at SkinCare Physicians in Boston, MA. Dr. Raphael has also completed a fellowship in Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery trained by faculty from Harvard, Yale and Brown. This premier fellowship is only one of a few accredited by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Raphael has authored numerous book chapters and scientific papers in peer reviewed journals in the field of Dermatology focusing on skin cancer and non invasive cosmetic procedures. He was featured on satellite radio as an expert in skin cancer and dermatologic surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American Society for Laser Medicine.
Virginia Tracey MD is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill followed by a dual MD/ MPH degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Tracey also completed a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellowship studying metastatic melanoma. During medical school Dr. Tracey was appointed membership to Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Society. She was also awarded the university wide Tulane 34 Award.
Dr. Tracey completed internship in internal medicine and dermatology residency at Tulane University Medical Center. During residency, she served on the American Academy of Dermatology Residents and Fellows Committee. She received awards for best senior resident research project by Louisiana Dermatologic Society and the annual Dermatopathology Resident Award.
She has published papers in peer reviewed journals including Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Journal of Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis, and Cutis. She also has co-authored chapters in dermatology and internal medicine text books.
Dr. Tracey enjoys taking care of patient’s medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic needs. She spends her free time with her husband and 2 young daughters.
Rachel Dorrer, PA-C, is originally from Rochester, New York. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies, with a minor in Biology, at Hofstra University. During her undergraduate studies, she was a recipient of the Hofstra University Presidential Scholars Academic Scholarship. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies also at Hofstra University, graduating with Summa Cum Laude Honors. During her training, Rachel completed and presented her master’s thesis examining the effects of Spironolactone on PMS symptom improvement in female acne patients.
Rachel has always had a strong passion for dermatology, especially medical and surgical dermatology. She enjoys caring for the pediatric, adolescent and adult population. Rachel is a NCCPA board certified Physician Assistant and is currently an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSSPA) and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA).
Rachel is excited to be back in Upstate New York. Out of the office, she enjoys hiking, cooking and spending time with her family.
Alicia a native to upstate NY is originally from the Binghamton NY area. She is a NYS licensed esthetician with a paramedical aesthetics and laser certification. She graduated from New York School of Esthetics in White Plains, NY and has been in the skincare industry for over 10 years. She has worked for some of the top plastic surgeons and dermatologists in New York City where she resided for over a decade. She also currently is a Senior Clinical Trainer for an aesthetic medical laser device company where she trains doctors and staff on the most current and advanced aesthetic laser technologies. Her medical experience, and extensive comprehension of skin science and product knowledge sets her apart from receiving the average skin treatment. She goes above and beyond when it comes to practicing safe procedures, and educating her patients on their skin and how to properly care for and maintain their results. A big believer in continued education, Alicia regularly attends trainings and seminars for the most up to date techniques and advancements in skincare. Her attention to detail and perfectionist mentality means she makes it her absolute priority that her patient has the best experience and results.
Alicia lives in Syracuse near Oneida Lake with her 3 Yorkies. On her off time she enjoys traveling, fitness, horseback riding, and her passion is animal rescue.
